Beschrijving voorzijde At left, a circular vignette encloses a zebra head rendered in three-quarter profile in intaglio, set against a coral-red guilloche underprint. The bilingual bank title "Namibia Reserwebank / Namibia Reserve Bank" is inscribed across the top of the note, while the denomination "Twee Kalahar / Two Kalahar" appears in large red letterpress at centre. All serial numbers are rendered as zeros (000000), consistent with an unissued trial piece, and a facsimile signature line for the Minister of Finance is printed below the denomination text.

Opmerkingen

The 2 Kalahar was prepared in anticipation of Namibian independence, which came on 21 March 1990, but the denomination was never formally issued — the Reserve Bank opted to launch the Namibian dollar series without it. Bradbury Wilkinson printed the notes in the final year of the firm's independent existence; the company was absorbed into De La Rue in 1990, making this one of the last issues to carry the BW imprint before that name disappeared entirely.

The Pick reference P#A1 reflects unissued status. Surviving examples come from printers' archives and collector distributions, not from any circulation or official release.
