| Obverse description | The full coat of arms of Romania occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a royal crown, supported on either side by rampant lions holding sceptres, and set beneath a draped ermine mantle topped by a royal crown with cross finial. Three scrolled banners below the shield bear the motto legend in Latin. The engraver's name STERN appears at the lower left of the field, and the date 1875 is prominently displayed in the exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
