| Beschrijving voorzijde | Portrait vignette of King Umberto I in military uniform set within an octagonal frame at left, printed in blue-grey intaglio on a fine guilloche underprint. The right half carries the bold letterpress legend 'BUONO di CASSA a corso legale da DUE lire' over an ornate scrollwork background, with serial numbers appearing at upper and lower right and the royal decree reference along the left margin. | Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed entirely in red-orange on a fine guilloche ground, the reverse is composed of three circular vignettes in a horizontal row: at left, a large ornamental numeral '2'; at centre, the Savoy coat of arms — a quartered shield surmounted by a royal crown and supported by laurel branches — set within an octagonal frame; and at right, a text medallion bearing the guarantee clause affirming full silver coin backing by the State Treasury. Decorative interlaced borders frame the composition, with the ministerial decree date inscribed in banners at top and bottom. |
