KM#Pn27 designates this as a pattern — not a circulation issue. Chile's Casa de Moneda struck a series of silver pattern pieces in 1914 as the government weighed a redesign of the fractional coinage, none of which entered regular production. Most known examples were retained in official collections or dispersed to contemporary dealers shortly after striking, which explains why auction appearances remain infrequent and provenance chains tend to be short.
