A spread-eagle vignette is centred in the upper portion within a large blue 'V' formed by diagonal lines, below which the promise-to-pay text and denomination 'TWO PESOS' appear in bold letterpress. | 备注 |
The Iloilo Currency Committee was one of several emergency local bodies that scrambled to produce substitute currency in the Philippines following the Japanese invasion of December 1941. The Philippine National Bank lent its institutional name to these issues, but the notes were produced under improvised wartime conditions, with the Iloilo series authorized specifically to address the collapse of normal financial circulation in the Visayas region.
Hoarding and destruction mean survivors are genuinely scarce, particularly in any grade approaching unissued.
