| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a plain typographic style characteristic of wartime emergency issues, with the heading TREASURY EMERGENCY CURRENCY CERTIFICATE / BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES at the top.
