| Obverse description | The obverse is set against a plain background with ornamental border patterns running along all four edges. At centre, the denomination TWO PESOS is printed in bold letterpress, above the issuer name MINDANAO EMERGENCY CURRENCY BOARD. The upper portion carries the text of the Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate issued by authority of the President of the Philippines, with a circular seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines at left. Series 1944 designation and a red serial number appear at upper right, with three facsimile signatures of the issuing board members printed below the denomination. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is simply printed in black letterpress on plain paper, with a dotted ornamental border framing the entire note. The denomination numeral 2 appears in each corner. The central text panel carries bilingual redemption notices in English and Visayan, affirming that the note is redeemable at face value after the emergency and will not be devalued, followed by a warning that counterfeiting will be severely punished, also rendered in both languages. |
