| Obverse description | Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in three-quarter view occupies the left portion of the note, set against an intricate guilloche underprint in rose and pink tones. The header reads 'CENTRAL BANK OF Ceylon' in serif capitals, flanked by numeral '2' corner devices and ornamental border panels; a legal tender clause appears in the upper right field.
