| Obverse description | Left-facing effigy of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck wearing the traditional Raven Crown (Druk Gyalpo crown), adorned with a raven finial atop an ornately embossed brim. The truncation of the bust shows a draped collar with a textured pattern. A circular legend in Dzongkha script surrounds the upper field, with additional Dzongkha characters flanking the effigy at left and right. The date 1979 appears in Arabic numerals in the lower exergue, flanked by two raised dots. |
