| Beschrijving keerzijde | Uniface blue reverse dominated by an elaborate engine-turned guilloche pattern composed of interlocking rosettes and geometric lathe-work filling the entire field. The large numeral '2' appears in intaglio at both left and right within the guilloche framework, while the three-line inscription 'BANCO DEL ECUADOR GUAYAQUIL' is centred in a cartouche at the middle of the design. The imprint 'American Bank Note Co. New York' runs along the lower margin. |

| Opmerkingen |
Banco del Ecuador was a private commercial bank based in Guayaquil, and by 1911 it was one of several competing institutions still authorized to issue currency under Ecuador's fragmented banking regime — a system that lasted until the Banco Central del Ecuador was established in 1927 and monopolized note issue. The American Bank Note Company produced the plates, as it did for most Ecuadorian private bank issues of the period, giving the series a consistency of execution that the underlying monetary system entirely lacked.
Cotton paper examples from this issue are prone to edge fraying along the left margin — a known weakness in the ABNC stock used for small-denomination Ecuadorian issues of this period.
