| 备注 |
Municipal emergency currency from Leyte issued during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. When the Japanese Military Administration imposed its own currency — the so-called "Mickey Mouse money" — local governments and guerrilla units throughout the Visayas issued fractional scrip to keep small commerce functioning, often under direct threat of punishment from occupying forces.
Macrohon is a small coastal municipality on the southern tip of Leyte. That a community of this size produced its own denominated scrip is less remarkable than it sounds — dozens of Leyte municipalities did the same, and the survival rate of these issues is uneven at best, with many lost to the humidity and violence of the period.
