正面描述	The note is printed in blue and green tones with an intricate guilloche underprint. At left, the Portuguese arms appear within a circular medallion, while at bottom centre a large red circular seal inscribed BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO / LISBOA bears a vignette of a steamship. The denomination 20 CENTAVOS is set in a central panel, with the issuing office EM LOURENÇO MARQUES and date 5 de Novembro de 1914 appearing in the lower portion alongside two signature lines for O VICE-GOVERNADOR and O GOVERNADOR.

背面描述	The reverse is printed in dark purple and brown intaglio on a plain ground. At centre, a seated allegorical female figure holds a sword and rests beside a shield, with a tall-masted sailing ship visible in the background to her right. Flanking the central vignette are two large ornate guilloche rosettes each bearing the value 0$20, with the bank name split across a ribbon scroll at the top and the printer's imprint at the bottom margin.
