| 正面铭文 | BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ 1994 (Translation: Central Reserve Bank of Peru) |
| 背面描述 | The numeral '20' is prominently displayed in the upper central field, with the denomination legend CÉNTIMOS below. The numeral is flanked on either side by stylized geometric relief patterns derived from the Chimu culture of Chan Chan. Above the central design, a row of Braille dots encodes the denomination, providing tactile accessibility. The overall composition is clean and geometric, characteristic of Peruvian nuevo sol series coinage. |

Peru's transition to the nuevo sol in 1991 followed the catastrophic collapse of the inti, which had lost virtually all its value to hyperinflation under the García administration — prices rose roughly two million percent between 1988 and 1990. The new coinage was designed from the outset with accessibility in mind, incorporating braille denomination markers, an unusually progressive decision for a Latin American mint at the time.
The KM#306.1 and 306.2 variants differ in the style of the braille dots, a detail tied to production changes at the Casa Nacional de Moneda in Lima across the decade-long run.
