Obverse description The denomination '20 CENTS' is prominently displayed in large numerals at the centre of the field, flanked on either side by two curved stalks of paddy rendered in fine relief. The legend 'SINGAPORE' arcs along the upper periphery, accompanied by the date of issue to the left. The paddy stalks frame the central numeral device and converge toward the lower field, lending the composition an elegant symmetrical structure characteristic of Stuart Devlin's series design.
