| Opmerkingen |
Munja was a state-owned battery and electrical goods factory in Zagreb, and like many Yugoslav enterprises during the socialist period, it operated its own internal meal voucher system — "Društvena prehrana" translates roughly as "social catering," the subsidized workplace canteen network that was a fixture of Titoist labor organization. These chits circulated only within that closed system, exchangeable for meals rather than goods or currency.
Factory-issued meal tokens of this type were printed locally in Zagreb in large quantities and discarded without ceremony once the subsidy cycle ended, which is why intact survivors attract more interest from Yugoslav ephemera collectors than from mainstream notaphilists.
