| 正面铭文 | 20 09 REDONDA TWENTY DOLLARS |
| 背面描述 | The nickel-plated steel center depicts a three-quarter front view of a modern MINI automobile rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The bronze outer ring features a stylized Union Jack (British flag) pattern formed by radiating diagonal lines. The legend '1959' appears at the upper left of the ring and '2009' at the lower right, with the inscription 'purely British' arcing across the upper center and '50 YEARS OF THE MINI' running along the lower arc of the ring. |

Redonda is a uninhabited half-square-mile volcanic rock in the Caribbean, part of Antigua and Barbuda, that has sustained a farcical "kingdom" since the 1860s when an eccentric Irishman named Matthew Dowdy Shiell claimed it for his son. The title passed through a chain of British literary figures — most notably the fantasy writer M.P. Shiel and later the poet John Gawsworth — before dissolving into competing claimants and pub-based abdications. By 2009, several rival "kings" were issuing coins simultaneously, none with any monetary authority whatsoever.
