| Opmerkingen |
The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank serves eight member territories — Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — none of which issues its own currency. A single note therefore circulates across sovereign borders as a matter of routine, which is unusual for a non-supranational institution of this scale. The arrangement has been in place since 1983, when the ECCB replaced the East Caribbean Currency Authority.
Thomas De La Rue has printed the series continuously. The P#49 type carries a security thread and watermark but predates the polymer conversion that later affected some denominations in the region.
