Obverse description A large ornate royal crown, rendered in high relief, occupies the central field. The crown features fleur-de-lis finials, arched bands, and a cushioned base with detailed decorative elements in a style consistent with the British Imperial crown tradition. A small engraver's initial or mintmark appears below the crown near the base. The circumferential legend reads GOVERNMENT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, followed by a five-pointed star, and is bordered on both the inner and outer edges by a continuous beaded ring.
