正面描述 Printed in green, blue, and black, the note is framed by an inner border of five straight lines interspersed with linked curved and diamond guilloche ornaments, with a continuous fine green underprint of repetitive text 'NOUVELLESHEBRIDES' filling the body. The Cross of Lorraine appears at top centre, flanked by the inscriptions 'Sces NATIONAUX NOUVELLES' at upper left and 'Francais des HEBRIDES' at upper right, with the large black denomination '20 Frs' centred within a wreath of two blue palm fronds and the legend 'CONTROLE DU FRANC NEO HEBRIDAIS' below. Signature titles 'Le Commissaire Résident de France' and 'Le Caissier Comptable' appear with their respective manuscript signatures above the serial numbers printed in black at the lower left and right corners.

备注

The Free French administration in the New Hebrides issued this note in 1943 as part of a small series produced to maintain a functioning currency in the condominium territory after the fall of metropolitan France cut off normal supply. The New Hebrides was one of the few colonial territories to declare for de Gaulle almost immediately in 1940, and by 1943 the islands had become a significant Allied staging point for Pacific operations — meaning actual demand for circulating notes was real and pressing.

Printed under austere wartime conditions, the series is notably scarce in any grade. The P#2 is the 20 Francs value within a short run that also included a 5 Francs (P#1).
