| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in rose-pink and brown on plain paper, the obverse carries a central vignette of a church or municipal building rendered in brown letterpress, set against a lightly hatched guilloche underprint in pink. The title inscription in ornate Fraktur blackletter script reads 'Kassenschein der Gemeinde Gumpoldskirchen über' across the upper portion, with the denomination numeral '20' repeated in each corner. The denomination in full, 'Zwanzig Heller', is set in large decorative Fraktur lettering across the lower centre, above three manuscript signature lines for the Vizebürgermeister, Bürgermeister, and Finanzreferent, with the validity clause 'Giltig bis 31. Dezember 1920' at lower left and the printer's imprint 'Entwurf u. Druck F. Seiteneberg, Wien III.' at the foot. |

| Opmerkingen |
Gumpoldskirchen is a small wine-producing town south of Vienna, and like hundreds of Austrian municipalities it resorted to issuing its own emergency paper currency — Notgeld — during the severe coin shortages that followed the First World War. The Austrian state was effectively unable to supply small change to its own population in 1919–1920, leaving local authorities to fill the gap with locally printed scrip, redeemable only within the issuing community.
F. Seiteneberg was a Vienna commercial printer, not a security printing house, which is exactly the point — these were stopgap instruments, not formal banknotes. The JPR reference places this firmly within the Jaksch catalog of Lower Austrian municipal issues.
