| 表面の説明 | Printed in ochre-gold on cream paper, the obverse centres on a vignette of a classical armoured female figure — Minerva or a personification of Austria — standing atop a stone pedestal and holding a sword and shield, set against a stylised cloudscape. A plain ruled border frames the composition, with the denomination and issuing authority rendered in bold letterpress at the foot of the note. |

Leonding was a small rural commune outside Linz, and like hundreds of Austrian municipalities it issued its own small-denomination Notgeld during the severe coin shortage that followed the First World War. The 20 Heller denomination was among the lowest in common circulation, intended purely to replace the hoarded bronze and nickel coinage that had effectively disappeared from everyday trade by 1919–1920.
Hans Wunder designed several Austrian municipal Notgeld issues during this period. Whether this piece was locally printed or sent to a regional press is not confirmed in surviving records.
