| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of Ivan Franko (1856–1916), Ukrainian poet, writer, and public intellectual, occupies the centre-right of the face against a multicolour guilloche underprint in shades of green and ochre. To the left of the portrait, an excerpt from Franko's verse is inscribed in stylised script, accompanied by the issuer's name across the top margin and the large numeral '20' in the lower field. The word denomination ДВАДЦЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ is integrated into the design along the lower register. |
