Obverse description The crowned and mantled Royal Arms of Greece, featuring a quartered shield bearing a cross, is depicted to the right of the central hole, with rays emanating from the hole toward the shield. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΙΟΝ ΤΗΣ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ (Kingdom of Greece) is inscribed across the upper and left fields in large characters, with the motto ΙΣΧΥΣ ΜΟΥ Η ΑΓΑΠΗ ΤΟΥ ΛΑΟΥ (People's love, my strength) on the mantle below the shield. The date 1912 appears in the lower field beneath the central hole. A beaded border runs along the outer rim.
