正面描述 A detailed architectural rendering of the exterior of the Eşrefoğlu Mosque in Beyşehir occupies the lower half of the field, depicting the mosque's distinctive pyramidal roofline and its slender minaret rising to the right. Behind the mosque, a stylized sunburst pattern of concentric arcs and geometric latticework radiates across the upper field, evoking traditional Anatolian Seljuk decorative motifs. At the center of this radiating design, a circular medallion displays an intricate geometric star pattern reminiscent of the mosque's celebrated carved wooden interior details. The curved legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' arcs along the upper rim and 'REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE' below it, with the denomination '20 Türk Lirası' and date '2022' inscribed in the lower exergue.

附加信息

The Eşrefoğlu Mosque in Beyşehir, completed around 1299 under the Karamanid-allied Eşrefoğlu Süleyman Bey, is one of the last surviving examples of the Anatolian wooden-hypostyle mosque form — a tradition that essentially died with the consolidation of Ottoman stone construction. Its 48 wooden columns and original hand-painted ceiling have remained largely intact for over seven centuries, a structural continuity rare enough that UNESCO has repeatedly flagged it for inscription consideration. Turkey's commemorative silver program has drawn on provincial architectural heritage with increasing frequency since the mid-2010s, partly as a deliberate counter to the Ottoman-imperial emphasis that dominated earlier issues.
