| 正面描述 | Central field features the Soyombo national symbol of the Mongolian People's Republic, flanked by traditional ornamental elements. A circular legend in the Classical Mongolian script surrounds the design, reading 'People's Republic of Mongolia.' The Mongolian year 15 (corresponding to 1925) appears below the central device. The coin reflects the early Soviet-influenced republican iconography adopted following the establishment of the Mongolian People's Republic in 1924. |

Mongolia's 1925 coinage series was among the first issued by the Mongolian People's Republic following its formal establishment in 1924, replacing the theocratic government of the Bogd Khan. The Soviet Union played a direct role in the new state's monetary infrastructure, and these early silver issues were struck at the Leningrad Mint. The .500 fineness reflects a deliberate compromise — enough silver to establish credibility, not enough to invite hoarding.
