Namibia's P#21 series marks the Bank of Namibia's most recent redesign cycle, issued in 2025. The 20-dollar denomination sits in the middle of the current circulating range and was updated primarily to address increasingly sophisticated counterfeiting threats in the Southern African regional economy — color-shifting ink in particular is a relatively recent addition to Namibian notes and was not present in earlier issues of this denomination.
Cotton substrate continues from prior printings. The security thread specification has not been publicly detailed by the Bank of Namibia as of this writing.
