(Translation: The Spanish-Filipino Bank will pay the bearer twenty pesos, Manila, Philippine Islands, 1st January 1908, The Bookkeeper, The Director)
Reverse description The reverse is printed in a warm golden-brown tone with a large central cartouche framed by elaborate foliate and scroll guilloche ornaments. The bank name and denomination are repeated in three bold lines within the cartouche, with the legend VEINTE PESOS also appearing in smaller text in the upper and lower border panels. Numeral 20 vignettes appear at left and right within the decorative framework.
