Obverse description The obverse is printed in olive-green on plain paper, with a decorative border of repetitive ornamental scroll and geometric patterns framing the entire note. At upper left, a circular seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines is set within the border, while the central field bears the text authority of the Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate redeemable at face value upon termination of emergency. Three manuscript signatures appear at the bottom, attributed to B. Pacana (Member), Florentino Saguin (Chairman), and I. Barbasa (Member), with the issuing authority MINDANAO EMERGENCY CURRENCY BOARD inscribed above them.
