| 正面描述 | The obverse carries a central intaglio vignette of a classical female figure in profile wearing a crested helmet, positioned to the right, with a five-pointed star on her breastplate. To the left, a detailed vignette of a steam locomotive with figures in a landscape setting. The bank title 'BANCO DE RERE' appears in large letters across the upper centre, with denomination panels reading 'VEINTE' and 'PESOS' flanking the central design, and a guilloche underprint framing the entire composition. This example is a specimen, overprinted diagonally in red with cancellation text and punched with cancellation holes, bearing a Waterlow & Sons specimen seal at lower left. |

| 备注 |
Banco de Rere was one of Chile's provincial private banks authorized under the 1860 Ley de Bancos, which permitted regional institutions to issue their own circulating notes. Most of these smaller banks were absorbed or liquidated following the 1925 monetary reforms that centralized emission under the Banco Central de Chile, and their paper is correspondingly scarce today.
Waterlow & Sons printed for dozens of Latin American issuers during this period, and their Chilean provincial work is among the less-documented corners of that output.
