Reverse description The centre of the reverse carries a large intaglio vignette of a bearded river-god head — representing the spirit of the River Boyne — set within an ornate rectangular frame surrounded by elaborate Celtic guilloche scrollwork. The numeral 20 appears in large figures on either side of the central vignette, and a dense lace-like border of interlocking floral and Celtic motifs encircles the entire design on the cream and red-brown ground.
