Opmerkingen

The Bank of Botswana has issued its notes through the South African Bank Note Company since the pula was introduced in 1976, a printing relationship that reflects both geographic pragmatism and the deep economic ties between Botswana and its southern neighbor. By 1999, the 20 Pula sat in the middle of a series that had been incrementally updated through the 1990s with revised security specifications — the security thread on this issue is a windowed rather than fully embedded type, a distinction worth noting when comparing against earlier pulls from the same denomination.
