Reverse description The brass centre displays a richly detailed agrarian composition symbolising the agricultural wealth of the West African Monetary Union. Three sheaves of harvested grain are arranged across the upper field, flanked by a maize cob to the left and a banana to the right. The large denomination numeral '200' occupies the centre of the field, with the currency designation 'FCFA' immediately below. A row of millet or sorghum stalks fills the lower portion of the inner disc. The copper-nickel outer ring carries the legend 'UNION MONÉTAIRE OUEST AFRICAINE' around the upper periphery, with the date of issue and mint marks flanking it in the lower portion of the ring.
