| Obverse description | The central vignette presents a large intaglio-printed southern right whale (ballena franca austral) breaching from stylised ocean waves, rendered in deep blue against a light blue guilloche underprint with red coral seaweed at the lower margin. A smaller red vignette of a whale in profile appears in the upper register alongside scattered whale-tail motifs in pink, while a windowed security thread bearing the repeated legend BCRA runs horizontally across the centre.
