200 Roubles

Belarus redenominated its currency in July 2016, lopping four zeros off all values — a 200,000 ruble note became this 200. The scale of that adjustment reflects two decades of inflation that had turned the old ruble into one of the lowest-value banknotes in the world by face amount, routinely issued in denominations running into the millions for ordinary purchases.

Thomas De La Rue printed the new series, as they did much of the preceding issue. Nekrasova's design work on the series earned recognition at the IACA awards shortly after release.
