| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central vignette of a traditional Melanesian warrior in ceremonial dress, holding a spear, set within a circular guilloche frame bearing the motto 'Long God yumi stanap'; to the left, a polymer transparent window in the form of a conch shell with black intaglio detail, and below it a multicolour vignette of a coastal lagoon landscape. Two facsimile signatures appear at centre, attributed to the Governor and Minister of Finance respectively, above the denomination numeral '200' in large red intaglio figures at upper centre. Traditional geometric patterns form the underprint throughout, with the map of the Vanuatu archipelago visible at right. |

| Opmerkingen |
Vanuatu adopted polymer for its banknote series in stages, with this denomination among the later transitions from cotton paper. Oberthur Fiduciaire produced the substrate and printing in France — the same firm responsible for a significant portion of Francophone Africa's currency output, making them an unsurprising choice for a former Franco-British condominium still commercially tied to both nations.
The 200 Vatu sits at the low end of the denomination range in day-to-day purchasing terms, meaning these circulate hard and return to the Reserve Bank damaged faster than higher values. Polymer helps, but the transparent window placement on small-format issues can develop stress fractures along fold lines with heavy use.
