Opmerkingen

The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale issues notes for six countries simultaneously — Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — a monetary union inherited from the CFA franc zone architecture established under French colonial administration and maintained after independence. This note falls within the "N" series suffix, denoting Equatorial Guinea, the sole Spanish-speaking member of the group and a relatively late entrant to the CFA system, joining only in 1985.

Three signature combinations across this date range reflect the ministerial and gubernatorial turnover within BEAC's governance structure during the 1990s, a decade of considerable political instability across member states.
