| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Gabon occupies the central field, depicting a shield supported by two black panthers, surmounted by an okoumé tree above a ship under sail on wavy water, with a scroll below bearing the motto UNION JUSTICE TRAVAIL. The surrounding legend RÉPUBLIQUE GABONAISE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA and the date 2014 appear in the lower field. The fineness mark Ag 925 and weight indicator 31.1 are inscribed at the lower left and right respectively, flanking the date. The design is executed in proof-like relief against a mirror field. |
