| Beschrijving voorzijde | Traditional Nepalese yantra-style design occupying the central field, composed of interlocking geometric forms and stylized sacred motifs including a lotus blossom, conch shell, and ceremonial implements arranged within a cruciform pattern. The royal name and title of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev are inscribed in Devanagari script across the central panels, reading श्री श्री श्रीपू बीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रमा शाह देव. The Vikram Samvat date २०५५ (2055) appears at the base of the design. The entire composition is surrounded by a beaded inner border, with a reeded outer rim. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Facing bust of Lord Buddha rendered in high relief, depicted in a meditative frontal pose wearing draped monastic robes, with hands raised in the abhaya mudra gesture of blessing. A circular nimbus or halo surrounds the head, and an ushnisha crown protrusion is visible at the top of the cranium. To the right of the figure, a depiction of the Ashoka Pillar at Lumbini is shown. The legend 925 FINE SILVER curves along the upper periphery, while NEPAL, the date 1998, the denomination Rs 2000, and the inscription LORD BUDDHA appear in the field to the left and right of the central motif. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
