| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black intaglio on white paper, with the bank title "El Banco Nacional Hondureño" in bold lettering across the upper portion and an oval guilloche frame enclosing the denomination numeral "25" at center right. To the left, a detailed vignette depicts three laborers mining or working the earth, rendered in fine engraved line work. The lower portion carries the place and date of issue "TEGUCIGALPA, 1889" alongside a manuscript serial number, with signature lines for El Presidente and the Director, and a panel at lower left stating the note's legal tender status across all offices of the Republic. |
