The foreground features the paved esplanade of the Temple Mount with a geometric diamond-pattern border framing the lower portion of the design. The curved inscription 'DOME OF THE ROCK · JERUSALEM' arcs below the monument. Along the upper periphery, within a beaded border, the legend 'THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN' curves in Latin letters.
