| Aanvullende informatie |
The Banque Centrale des Etats de l'Afrique Equatoriale et du Cameroun had a short institutional life — it was dissolved in 1972 when the BEAC replaced it — making all essai pieces from this issuer genuinely scarce by virtue of the bank's own brevity. Essais of this period were struck in Paris by the Monnaie de Paris primarily for government approval and collector sets, never entering circulation. Production numbers were typically in the low hundreds.
