Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse features a stylized West African tribal mask rendered in fine relief at center, its elongated form flanked by the large numerals '2' and '5' denoting the denomination, with the word 'FRANCS' inscribed below in the lower field. The circular legend 'BANQUE CENTRALE DES ETATS DE L'AFRIQUE DE L'OUEST' runs along the full periphery, interrupted at the base by a raised dot serving as a separator. The word 'ESSAI' appears in small capitals beneath 'FRANCS', confirming the trial piece status of this issue. A small map motif of the African continent is visible in the upper right field.
