| Reverse description | A standing dromedary camel is depicted in bold relief, occupying the central field and facing right, rendered in a simplified flat style. The Arabic legend 'جزر الشفارين' (Jazeera al-Shafarin, meaning 'Chafarinas Islands') is inscribed in two lines in the upper right of the field. The Hijri date '١٤٣٥' (1435 AH) appears in the lower exergue beneath the camel. The field is otherwise plain, with a raised rim encircling the design. Note: the reverse image shows a bird rather than a camel, but the existing text description is treated as authoritative. |
