The Arabic legend 'جزر الشفارين' (Jazeera al-Shafarin, meaning 'Chafarinas Islands') is inscribed in two lines in the upper right of the field. The Hijri date '١٤٣٥' (1435 AH) appears in the lower exergue beneath the camel. The field is otherwise plain, with a raised rim encircling the design.
