Obverse description Vignette at left of a uniformed military guard of honour standing at attention in an outdoor setting with trees and hills in the background. At upper centre, Arabic inscriptions denote the issuing authority, with a large ornate guilloche medallion at right bearing the denomination numeral '25'. The note is printed in rose-red on a light ground, with cancellation punch holes visible on this specimen example.

Reverse description Central vignette of a camel rider in desert landscape, the figure armed with a lance and mounted on a walking dromedary, rendered in intaglio in rose-red. The denomination panel 'SUDAN GOVERNMENT' runs across the top within an ornamental cartouche, and 'TWENTY-FIVE PIASTRES' appears in a matching panel at the base. Corner rosettes carry the numeral '25' in both Western and Arabic forms, framed by intricate guilloche borders.
