| Reverse description | Central high-relief depiction of the Long (龙), a dragon spine beast of the Forbidden City, rendered in gilt finish and shown in a seated posture with scaled body, clawed feet, and an elaborately detailed mane. Behind and around the beast, a detailed engraved panorama of Forbidden City architecture is visible against a dark matte field, including a frontal palatial hall at lower left and sweeping tiled rooftop eaves at upper right.
