| Obverse description | The face is printed in brown on an intricate arabesque guilloche underprint with ornamental corner rosettes. The central vignette carries the denomination in large Arabic script within a lobed cartouche, flanked by the numeral 250 in Western digits at left and its Arabic-numeral equivalent at right, with Cyrillic and Latin value text beneath the cartouche. Two facsimile signatures appear below the central text block, with the issuing year 1919 / ١٣٢٩ at foot, the anti-counterfeiting warning in Azerbaijani and Russian along the lower border, and series designation "Сер. I" at each lower corner. |

The large bold Cyrillic inscription ДВѢСТИ ПЯТЬДЕСЯТЪ РУБЛЕЙ dominates the centre, with the numeral 250 and РУБЛЕЙ at left and the Arabic-numeral ۲۵۰ with منات at right, flanked by Azerbaijani Turkish partial text in Arabic script.
