| Reverse description | Central field displays a large numeral '3' denoting the denomination, surmounted by a royal crown in fine detail. The numeral and crown are flanked by two symmetrical sprays of oak leaves and acorns tied at the base, forming a wreath. The date 1809 appears in the exergue below the wreath. The surrounding legend COLONIES OF ESSEQUEBO & DEMERARY TOKEN is disposed around the periphery, separated from the central design by a raised inner border. The rim is finished with fine milling matching the obverse. |
