Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King George V wearing an imperial crown, with a bearded portrait engraved in the style of Percy Metcalfe. The King is depicted in military dress with epaulettes visible at the truncation. The circular legend GEORGE V KING EMPEROR runs around the periphery in Latin characters, divided by the portrait. A fine beaded border frames the design.
