| Obverse description | Gold foil note issued to commemorate Antiguan independence in November 1981, with the central vignette rendered in high-relief embossing showing a panoramic coastal landscape. The upper border carries the legend GOVERNMENT OF ANTIGUA & BARBUDA and INDEPENDENCE NOVEMBER 1981, while an oval medallion at left bears the national coat of arms and a portrait vignette of Queen Elizabeth II appears in an oval cartouche at right.
